The Ridgeview Wolfpack football and volleyball teams each earned playoff victories this weekend. The Wolfpack football team defeated Tazewell 40-19 in the first round of the Region 2D playoffs and will advance to play Union in the semifinals next weekend at Bullitt Park in Big Stone Gap. Meanwhile, the Lady Wolfpack volleyball team swept Radford 3-0 on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the VHSL 2A championship to secure a spot in the semifinals. The Lady Wolfpack will travel to James River on Tuesday for a chance to compete in the state championship.
