All nurse's forms need to be turned in right away. A new form must be filled out and signed every year. If a form is not on file in the nurse's office and medication is needed, we will NOT be able to call home or receive a call from home to give
medication. It is important that you turn your form in.
Forms may be turned in to any homeroom teacher, the office, or directly to the nurse. If you need another copy, please go to the clinic for a copy.
Also, ANY MEDICATIONS needed by a student are to be turned in to the nurse. Students are not allowed to carry medications on their person. If a student requires daily meds, this must be reflected on their nursing form and a medication order form signed by their medical doctor needs to be on file.

Dear DCPS Parents, Guardians, and Families,

With only three days into the new school year, it has been a joy to see our students reconnect with friends, meet their teachers, and begin exploring new subjects, skills, and opportunities.

As a school division this year, our focus is on the power of connection. The relationships we build with our students, our families and with each other will be the foundation for every success story we create. We are excited for all the success stories that lies ahead. We are honored to be part your child’s journey, and we look forward to celebrating every one of their milestones during this school year.

We recognize that educating our students is a team effort and each of us play a vital role. Your involvement -whether it is volunteering in class, communicating with teachers or attending school events - sends a powerful message that school and education matters. We are thankful for your partnership. We are grateful for a dedicated group of faculty and staff who are the champions our students deserve, and are an essential part of the team.

Our mission remains focused on providing every student with a safe, supportive and high-quality educational experience where every child feels safe, supported to reach their dreams. Our theme for this year is ‘Every child. Every day. Every Chance.” This year, I also want to assure you that our top priority is the safety and well-being of the children in our care. As a school division, we continue to implement annual comprehensive safety protocols and procedures. We are resolute to fostering positive and inclusive environments where all students feel safe, respected and valued. As the year unfolds, please know that our doors are always open. Your questions, ideas, and insights are invaluable to us, and together we can ensure that every child has the tools and confidence to succeed.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We are proud to serve your children and grateful to have you as our partners int this important work

With appreciation and excitement,

Haydee L. Robinson,
Division Superintendent
